Processing time is usually in the range of 120 to 180 days, though some grants can take longer to process - especially those for for-profit companies.  Rainmaker Marketing Corporation typically completes an initial analysis of the available grant programs for no fee.  Administration and processing advance costs are usually no more than one percent (1.00%) of the total amount of the funding being sought.  To qualify your project for consideration, the following threshold issues have to be satisfied (click here for a copy of our pre-construction phase due diligence documentation checklist):

Site control.  Site under contract or owned.

Zoning Entitlements.  The site has to be entitled for the intended use - there are no exceptions.

Sponsor Entity Legal/Organizational.  The sponsor entity must be formed, EIN received and certificate of standing in place.

Project Team.  The key slots in the project delivery team have to be filled with contracts and/or memorandums of understanding executed and enforceable.  

Initial Round Capitalization.  An initial round of capital funding has to be closed that provides the funds necessary to defray the costs of processing the grant, the carrying costs associated with the project over the processing period and the completion of any other due diligence documentation requirements that might become known as a result of the grant qualification process.
